Understanding which pages help
We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure page views and App Store link clicks. Vercel processes information such as the page URL, referring website, time, browser, device type and approximate location to provide aggregate statistics. Our link-click events also identify the page and the link’s position.
Read Vercel’s analytics privacy information for details about its processing.
Counting visits from search once
To understand whether search visitors continue to the App Store, we keep a small record in your browser’s local storage. It contains the search engine category, landing page, last recorded activity time and whether an App Store click has already been counted. We do not add a visitor identifier to this record.
The measurement treats visits in the same browser as one session until 30 minutes pass without a recorded page navigation or App Store click. The stored record is replaced on a later visit after that interval; it can remain on your device until replaced or you clear this site’s data.
When an eligible visit continues to the App Store, we send Vercel an event with the search engine category and landing page. These custom properties do not include your search query or full referring URL. We use the result to assess the usefulness of our pages, not to count app downloads.
Your choice
Exclude this browser from search-to-App-Store measurement. This clears the session record and saves an exclusion preference in this browser. Clearing this site’s browser data removes that preference. This choice does not turn off the separate Vercel page-view and ordinary link-click statistics.
The search-to-App-Store counter also respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. It does not affect the clapperboard tool or your App Store links.
