Using the online clapperboard
Is the browser clapperboard free?
Yes. You can set the scene and roll, mark takes and view the current take log without an account or download.
Will my take log be saved?
The browser log lasts only while this page stays open; reloading or closing it clears the takes. The ClappyBoard app keeps your log and lets you export it as a spreadsheet.
Does this sync audio automatically?
It creates a reference for your edit. Put the screen in shot and start both your camera and sound recorder before marking the take. Then line up the flash in the video with the clap in the audio. See the iMovie sync guide for a manual example.
Why can I not hear the clap?
Hold the board until the sticks open, then release. Check your device volume, the browser tab’s sound setting and whether audio is going to headphones. Make a test recording before relying on the mark.
